We are a diverse, dedicated, and volunteer group of individuals who believe in a real democracy—of, by, and for the people.
We work tirelessly to resist Trump and the GOP’s multi-decade right-wing takeover of the American government. To do so, we plan, organize, and participate in street protests, town halls, rallies, phone campaigns, letter/postcard campaigns, and qualified candidate recruitment and volunteer support. So far this year, we've hosted 48 street protests and 34 special events.
Southern Crescent Indivisible of Georgia is non-partisan volunteer organization that promotes civic engagement to strengthen democracy in Butts, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Pike, Spalding, and Upson counties.
“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.” -William Faulkner

“When you believe in something, fight for it. And when you see injustice, fight harder than you ever fought before.” -Brad Meltzer
As of August 2026, we have 518 members. To date, we have conducted 109 street protests and held 63 events.
Thank you to all the volunteers who worked together last Tuesday afternoon to send postcards and texts to the 44 members of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee letting them know that accepting campaign contributions from CorpCivic and The GEO Group who make billions managing 90 percent of the U.S. detention facilities is not okay since their committee is responsible for ICE oversight.
Resistance works! Last Wednesday 14 of our members attended the State Elections Board meeting in Fayetteville in opposition to a proposed “Secrecy Rule” that was both misleading and extreme. It was a long morning, but eventually the Board voted to oppose the rule 3:1. Thank you to Betty for her important heads-up about this meeting.
Thank you to the 31 members of Southern Crescent Indivisible and Coweta Indivisible who protested at the busy intersection of Bullsboro Drive and Newnan Crossing in Newnan on Saturday morning. We stood strong for justice! And thank you to Dawn for designing our new protest banner about voting to save democracy.
Thank you to Jill and Anna for the amazing work they do maintaining our Facebook. Check it out at Southern Crescent Indivisible of Georgia
